No, quite the opposite. Her WTFInsane album sales are proof people are recognizing HER. You can buy a catchy song without really caring about the artist, but when you buy an album, it feels like you've sort of invested a bit of yourself in that artist.

Does the featured artist say when a collaboration is released or the main artist? It's all up to the main artist and their record label. That's like saying Ri could've released "Fly" as a single before Nicki, but she didn't and couldn't because she technically doesn't have the authority to do so. An artist LENDS their voice and star power for a collaboration, but at the end of the day it technically doesn't belong to them. It's like a gift or honor.

Exactly. When you buy an album, you have the woman's face in the cover so that means not only almost 11 million people know her but they also care enough for her to invest more than 10 euros (or whatever is the priice in the US) on her.

I was talking about her appearance. of course you are gonna know her name. but I'm talking about her image.Like if Adele walked out on the same street with someone like for instance Katy Perry, people would more likely flock to Katy instantly because of her recognizable image.

Her image is of a "real musician" coming in to save the world from auto-tune and purple wigs, and, however accurate, it's an extremely prominent and popular image at the moment.
