They were probably considering it as a single because of it's success. But then you're right if you think about it. They'd have to butcher it to have the radio stations play it.

I'm kinda happy that Peacock won't be a single. I like saying that Katy got a #1 on the Hot Dance Club and got certified Gold for a song that wasn't released as a single or promo single.

A TON of radios said they didn't wanna repeat peacock-****-****, i heard that it was supposed to be 4th single but they went with E.T. instead.... not sure if thats true. Also i can't wait for re-release/EP/New Album, whatever it may be, i just wish we had time for Circle The Drain, HummingBird Heartbeat, and Peacock,, but after TOTGA saidly it will be time to move on

Well, I'm not sure how that would turn out either. I think that leaving it as a fun treat on the album is tempting, and then the response makes people regard Katy higher because it wasn't a single.

Yeah I heard it was the fan voted single, but they canceled it and went with the second choice, ET, which ultimately turned out better than I think Peacock would've

I think Peacock would become a Hit in other countries were english is not the first language (ex. México (my country), some people don't pay attention to the lyrics ...they just dance and like the song becuse they think the song it's catchy....
