She will definitly hold the record for most singles sold off one album. The other 2 albums that are close are The Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies), and Lady Gagas The Fame. All i know is all 3 albums have single downloads in the 20 million!!! Anyone know if Katy has the lead on this already????

Great question! I think Katy is around 25 million, though I think out of those two albums The Blacked Eyed Peas would be bigger competition, Lady Gaga is probably the least "single-type" seller out of the three.

Records? Many.. Almost all her singles would be 2x Platinum, the only exception: TOY that is almost Platinum
Total sales:
She would have sold something about 24.2M of singles in just the US from her Teenage Dream era
California Gurls: 5.2M
Teenage Dream: 4.1M
Firework: 5.2M
E.T.: 4.7M
Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.): 3M
The One That Got Away: 2M
And total, all her career (just the U.S.) 36 Million of singles sold

Well if it goes #1 and does that. She will break the record for most #1s from one album. She be the only female artist to have 4 #1s in one calendar year as a lead artist, she have the most multi platinum record, she will be one of only two artists that had a #1 song in three different years from one album (assuming TOTGA does #1 both this year and next year like Firework did).  She'll also break the most #1 songs on the Hot Dance Club chart from one album (she is currently tied with Beyonce), she'll tie Rihanna for the most #1s on the Pop songs chart, she'll break the record for the most consecutive #1s on the Pop songs chart, she'll break the record for the most #1s on the Adult Pop Songs chart, she'll get 2nd place for most #1s on the Hot Digital Songs Chart, she'll go 2nd place for most weeks at #1 (if it can spend at least 4 weeks at #1 she have the most weeks), if it goes #1 in NZ she'll be tied for 4th place for the most #1s there, and... I Kissed A Girl went to the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart by three weeks, a first for a solo act with a debut single

this is why i love her so much. those imperfections made her what she is right now...a star. and she worked hard for everything that she have accomplished. its not just easy work to get 5 no. 1s. i just can't deal with all the haters saying that shes using payola or shes sucking Dr. Luke's dick to obtain those no. 1s
