Apple keep ****ing up. No music, no apps, no new updates on my phone. GRRRRRRR.

That happened to me too. You just have to be patient and it will sort itself out. It took me two hours to update, I had two more phones and an iPad to update. Not tonight.

Ryan said to combat this error you gotta:

unplug your iphone, close out itunes. Plug your phone into a different USB port, then double click on the file you updated. Click update and it'll install. It's what I did. Took me 20 minutes but it worked.

But it didnt work for me.

Yes, I downloaded the 3GS version. Because for some reason the option to download the iTunes version isnt showing up for me.

Did you install it correctly?

Open iTunes then to your iPhone settings and hold down the option key on a Mac or the shift on Windows and click the Restore button. Point iTunes to your iOS 5 GM IPSW file you downloaded then wait for iTunes to finish.








Oh, and make sure you have iTunes 10.5
