I got my phone updated but I'm having trouble updating my iPad. I already downloaded the update but it keeps saying the restore failed because there was an internal error. The iPad still works, it's just not updated to iOS 5 yet. I'm loving iMessage!!!

Just called Apple, and the girl said the unknown and internal errors are just another problem caused by the strain on the server. She suggested I wait a while before trying again.

mine downloaded fine, and now its updating the software. is that where the problem happens??
I got that too. What does that mean? I'm updating my Dad's phone first, he'll kill me if I mess it up.
The servers are bogged down. If it doesn't go through then try it later. Nothing bad should happen because of that error code. No need for him to kill you!
