Sisters Destinee and Paris Monroe aren't typical teenagers preoccupied with homecoming, high school dances and weekly football games. The two siblings, former members of Clique Girlz, are living a real teenage dream: touring internationally as Destinee & Paris, readying their debut album — and warming up for Britney Spears.


Following a brief Stateside stint with Spears this past August, the sisters remained one of the pop diva's opening acts for the European leg of the Femme Fatale Tour. That road trip wraps November 9 in Lisbon, Portugal, before traveling to the United Arab Emirates, South America, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

"I can't even explain how amazing it is to be onstage every night and sharing it with a legend like Britney," Destinee, 17, told MTV News on Tuesday via Skype from Zurich, Switzerland. "I mean, she's been in this business forever and has really made a name for herself. To be performing before her is crazy. If somebody said to me 10 years ago that this is what we'd be doing — opening for Britney Spears — I'd be like, 'OK, you're crazy.' "

The Grand Rapids, Michigan-born Monroe sisters, who also appeared as backup singers on the 10th season of "American Idol," released their debut single "True Love" via Streamline/ Interscope Records in August. They admit that the one thing they still need to do while touring with Spears is sit down for a genuine conversation with the nearly 30-year-old singer.

"Everything's been so busy for us, so we haven't gotten to really talk [to Britney]," said Paris, 15. "But we have said hi [to her] a few times and she's just a sweetheart."

So if they do get a chance for some one-on-one time with Spears, what would they ask their idol?

"I think that our number-one question would probably be how to deal with growing up in this industry," Paris said. "If there's anyone who knows the most about that, it's obviously Britney. She's had an amazing, long, successful career, so I think that would be the first thing we would talk to her about."

The blond sisters, who toured with the Jonas Brothers and the Backstreet Boys while still with the Clique Girlz, are planning to focus on their still-untitled debut album once the tour ends.

"The album is still in the final stages of being worked out," Paris said. "We released the single and we're performing most of the songs on tour. I think once we're off tour, we're probably going to record some more songs, tweak the album a little more, make the final touches and release it. We want it to be really special."

The 29-year-old pop princess was joined by boyfriend Jason Trawick and her two sons, Preston and Jayden.

Britney told the Associated Press last month she’s looking forward to turning 30 December 2.

“I hear the older you get, the wiser you get and the more you know what you want - so hopefully it’ll be a good year,” she shared.

As for her Femme Fatale tour, “The audiences have been just amazing, they’ve been so great to bounce off of and the energy I get from them, it’s great, it’s really cool,Brit added.

At the end of October, Lady Gaga will be the star attraction at the the Airtel Grand Prix of India. She's a big name, but this is a big race, the first Formula 1 Grand Prix ever in India and the first on the new Buddh International Circuit, built for the race.

I think it's a great example of how Formula 1 markets itself, you can have a lot of fun attending an event, even if you don't like racing, or ever watch a minute of a race. I'm sure a lot of the fans going to watch Lady Gaga have never seen a Formula 1 race. While they may not sit in the grandstands for this race, they will be exposed to the sport.

The sport has gone a step futher, sponsoring a superstar-filled live concert series, F1Rocks, presented along with some Formula 1 races. These are full-fledged rock festivals, with separate admission from the race. The events have both, concerts included as part of your race ticket, and separate events, available for separate purchase. The F1Rocks event in India includes a concert by Metallica, which is a separate event from the race and the Lady Gaga concert there. The next F1Rocks event is the Brazil Grand Prix in Sao Paulo on November 24.

In November, I wish I was going to the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where Britney Spears, Sir Paul McCartney, Incubus and The Cult will all rock the desert country. All the music events in Abu Dhabi are free for race-day ticket holders, not a separate F1Rocks event. I think American NFL teams especially should follow this lead and create more of an all-weekend football festival. With the larger stadium complexes planned for some cities, this is possible.

When Method Man stopped by RapFix Live on Wednesday, he opened up a lot about his legendary career. The humble MC said that he was mostly grateful that he's been able to do what he's wanted to do most with his life: make music.

"Like I said when you carry yourself with that grain of humility, you never put yourself on a pedestal to get knocked off of," he told MTV News. "My thing was whether I'm the hottest, close to the hottest or fizzling around here lukewarm, I'm gonna be happy cause I'm doing what I always wanted to do."

With making music, comes the opportunity to meet some interesting folks. He added, "I'm an MC and I'm meeting people that some people would never meet in their whole entire lifetime." He then relayed some of the best celebrity encounters he's had over the years. So, here is Method Man recalling his favorite encounters with fellow A-listers.

A creative manager for a record publishing company whose clients include Madonna, Britney Spears and Beyonce was forced out of her job after she went on maternity leave, a tribunal heard today.

Luisa Berg, 31, who secured the soundtrack of hit film, StreetDance, for the Notting Hill Music Group, had to leave after her bosses failed to make allowances for the fact she has a daughter, she claims.

Managing director, David Loader, 61, even lied when she questioned why she had not received her Christmas bonus, Mrs Berg alleged today as she took her former bosses to tribunal for sex discrimination.

Mrs Berg has described the firm's actions as 'hurtful' after she had a sucessful year securing the soundtrack for the smash hit 2010 3D film including the top ten song by Ndubz and Bodyrox for the company, which also has Michael Jackson, Christina Aguilera and 50 Cent on its books.

She said: 'I should have been spending these months with my daughter, but instead this has taken a considerable amount of stress. I have also lost money.

'Emotionally I have been put through my paces. It is hurtful that I worked for Dave for five years.
'In my last year I had a particularly good year and I have been extremely hurt by the way I have been treated.'

Her work, she said, resulted in massive earnings for the company and on the back of the success the company signed a deal with Vertigo Films.

On its website the publishing company praises the 'huge amount of work' done on StreetDance 'led by the magnificent Luisa Berg' who 'shepherded an amazingly successful soundtrack' for the Vertigo Films Movie.

But in the same month it was released, she went on maternity leave and was never able to return to her £26k role, she claims, and when she began the tribunal process her boss branded her a 'gold digger'.

Mrs Berg began working as a creative manager for the music publishing company in August 2006 and her role included pitching scripts to writers and dealing with clients and the accounts for which she was paid £2,300 a month.

In April 2010 she began trying to arrange her maternity leave but Mr Loader was 'reluctant' to discuss the issues.

Her position was only finalised a day before she left on July 9, 2010 London Central Employment tribunal was told.

Her daughter was born in August 2010 and in February this year she met Mr Loader to discuss her return to work and to inform him she only wanted to come back part time.

Mrs Berg said: 'I raised the matter of my Christmas bonus, usually £1,000, to be told no such bonuses were being paid. 'It later transpired bonuses were paid to other members of staff.
'He had misled me.'

After the meeting he failed to answer her calls or get back to her about her suggestion of working two or three days a week, she told the hearing.

She is now suing Notting Hill Music Group for direct and indirect sex discrimination and failing to provide her with flexible working hours and a written contract of employment.

Mrs Berg is seeking compensation for lost earnings as well as injury to feelings.

Mr Loader, 61, denies sexual discrimination against his former employee. He said that he tried on numerous occasions to set up a meeting with Mrs Berg so they could discuss her coming back to work on a flexible basis after she had her baby.

But, he told the tribunal it was 'not part of her schedule' and she had no intention to return to work full time after her maternity leave.

He said: 'As far as I am aware the entire process has been smooth and efficient and she has received all remuneration due to her in a timely manner.

'I don't think that at any point this year she intended to return to work full time.

'Numerous attempts were made with her to discuss the options but it didn't appear to be part of her schedule.'

The hearing continues.

But a good sleep appeared to have made a world of difference for Britney Spears as she stepped out of her hotel beaming.

She sported immaculate make-up and her blonde hair had been curled so it was cascading down her back.

No doubt she was about to change into something a little more showy but the 29-year-old looked chic in a navy blazer, skinny jeans and brown heels.

The popstar was accompanied by her boyfriend Jason Trawick and her teo sons Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five.

The family were led through the waiting crowd of fans by burly bodyguards, Jayden having his own massive guard whose hand he held tightly.

Britney looked much happier than when she stepped in the French capital yesterday.

Her grueling Femme Fatale tour began in mid-June and doesn't finish till early December.

'It’s full on for six days and then she has a day off,' the source said.

'She’s consuming around 1500 calories per day.'
