TONS of reasons:
1) She is one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. Seeing her in Valentines Day was truly, truly revolting. Her acting was SO bad it made me stop the whole movie.
2) She's a bad singer. People may say Rihanna is a bad singer, but Rihanna has a low powerful ranger (see Unfaithful performances) and a beautiful head voice (see LTWYL Part 2 performances), while Taylor has one nasal, usually off key, weak voice.
3) She's a horrible performer. She stands on the stage awkwardly, usually with a guitar to guard, and makes uncomfortable faces and stands with her shoulders up to her ears and kind of bounces occasionally.
4) 90% of her songs are about fairytails. The woman is over 20. She shouldnt still be singing about fairytails and being mad at boys anymore. She needs to grow up.
5) She stays more popular and sells more than more deserving artists like Carrie Underwood, who outperforms her at every show and songs are more mature and STICTLY country.
6) She calls herself a "country" artist, but remixes them and sends them to Pop radio.
Those are the reasons I hate Taylor Swift. She's the only artist I genuinely CANNOT stand.

You clearly didn't read the rest of this thread. You are just making yourself look bad. Most of this is just flamebait anyways.
Doh.

How is that flamebait?

I'm curious to know your thoughts about "Dear John." I honestly don't think it would be too out of place in a playlist with Reba's "The Night the Lights Went Out In Georgia," Garth Brooks' "The Thunder Rolls," and George Strait's "I Cross My Heart."

Because saying 'she is just horrible' isn't really a reason. Look, I don't want to repeat myself, read my posts if you are open-minded. If you aren't, fine I won't waste my time.

Because her career relies on whether or not she is in a relationship/breaks up, her voice is kind of annoying, she's a boring performer, she never takes risks like gaga and rih, all of these teenage white girls are obsessed with her, her, selena, glee cast, and bieber will win at least 4 Teen Choice Awards every year for the next 6 years making her one of the four who will make the Teen Choice Awards the most pointless award show every year and the list goes on.
Not to mention Taylor Swift number 2, Adele, is everywhere now. (not that she doesn't have talent or anything)

What? I didnt just say "Taylor Swift is horrible." I explained why.
Just because I dont like her and explained why doesnt make my posts incorrect or flamebait.

Nice girl, but her music bores the shite out of me, I can barely get through a song made by her, & her voice also bores me too. I feel no emotion or personality in her music, IMO.

You mean the constant shade I see people throw at them (especially Katy) for having songs designed to appeal to teenagers is just a figment of my imagination?

I'm not going to argue with you but please, listen to 'Last Kiss' right the way through and tell me what you think then. Please?

Her songs seem all the same to me. I don't hate her, but she bores me.

I can pretty much nail this one on the head, people have various reasons but the main ones would be.
a) she has sold way more than most of their faves have since the year 2000
b) she writes her own music and it actually sells
c) she has dated people they want to nail
d) she won a grammy for ATOY which most of their faves haven't and probably never will (bar 2 or 3) for an album she not only wrote and co-wrote every song on but co-produced as well.
e) she actually cares a lot about her fans which other than Gaga and a few other to a milder extent, most celebs only say they care and don't back it up, Taytay doesn't charge for meet and greets all the time because her fans tend to go to her shows with their allowance, she has the T-Party room, a true Princess.
f) she does it all singing about princesses, dancing in the rain and fairytales
They can all stay mad tbh. Queen Taylor doesn't give a ****

Kind of why I don't like screamo, personally. (unless it's ADTR or Devil Wears Prada since there's a balance between singing and screaming). I like almost every subgenre of rock, but I cannot get myself into screamo. Especially the gory ones like Cannibal Corpse and Gojira They make me feel like Satan is going to crawl out from under my bed and drag me to hell.
But there are actually a lot of people that go crazy for these lyrics (I assume they look them up or something...or they listen VERY carefully...) And when people quote some of these songs, a lot of these lyrics are actually very beautiful...I think it's kind of a waste since nobody can decipher them, tbh.

Dear john is great actually both musically and lyrically because it's a pretty big change from her usual boy type songs. My only problem would be that it drags on too long.
And i didn't realize how talented she was until it was pointed out this thread.

I adore Dear John, I love that she used John Mayers signature guitar style too. Dear John and Last Kiss for me are her two best written songs, a lot of people hate them for their length though.

I see why. I came in here, really annoyed by her. And now, I'm starting to lighten up on her. I'm not a fan by any means, but I've gained a bit of respect for her after staying in this thread for a while.
Mostly because her stans didn't attack me. They respectfully disagreed with me and explained why...and they actually made some very good points.
