You're forgeting that critics loved Firework (both the music video and the song), It's Katy Perry's best critically praised song. They're going to want to award her.
Do critics really play that big of a role? 'Cause My Humps was universally panned by critics. Sorry hun but the song sucks, and it was overrated and over played (like most of the Black Eyed Peas's singles.)
