If Justin Bieber were on the list, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Justin Bieber would probably be more accurate. Without him, certainly Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Adele at the moment, with Katy not far behind.

WW, it's definitely GaGa, Rih, and Adele. And Adele is a popstar, her genre is pop -_- even SLY is pop.
But in U.S., Adele, Katy, and Rihanna. Gaga has really declined in U.S. after BTW.
Bieber might have a SHITLOAD of fans, but theres no numbers to prove it. And why is Katy entirely missing from this poll? Singles-wise, she had the best year WW (I think).

And even in decline BTW has outsold Loud in the US in a fraction of the time and will continue to put distance between the two.
Gaga sent four singles in a row to #1 within hours of release. Rihanna's new lead single still hasn't gotten there after three days and counting.
We'll also be seeing how those tour receipts compare in the US once Gaga starts hers.

Let's continue to tear apart that post by remembering that Bieber moved more copies of his album last year than Rihanna ever has in a single year, and was topped by only Gaga and Eminem. This year, without releasing any new music, he has released the biggest Concert Movie in the history of the United States box office, a perfume that shattered sales records and a remix album that has sold more copies this year than Katy's, Rihanna's, Britney's, and Beyonce's full-length studio albums in the United States.

So they did manage to pass the good sis JB within the past three weeks. Better late than never I suppose. Now, I'm going to go ahead and predict that his album being released later this year will surpass their year-long sales within 2 weeks.

Oh, since some of you are still dismissing JB's sales power, I feel like I should also mention that:
His entire studio discography is in the list of 100 most-sold albums this year.
He has more albums in the top 100 than any other artist.
He's the third best-selling artist this year (after Adele and Gaga) despite having not releasing any material in 18 months or any singles in 8 months.
Never Say Never: The Remixes is the 9th best-selling remix album of all-time, the best-selling remix album since 2003 and the best-selling remix album of the digital era.
Never Say Never: The Remixes is the only remix album to debut at, or at any point reach, #1 on the Billboard 200.

I really don't think there's much arguing. The top 3 worldwide stars are GaGa, Rihanna, and Adele/ Justin Bieber. I don't give a damn how much you hate them. There's no denying their success.

Adele is selling amazing in some countries but she has not enough hits and there are many people who don't even know what she looks like.
Plus I don't consider her a popstar.
So... Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry.
