Judging from her response, I'd say the overly-controlled interviews are her idea now.

Katy is very energetic! I saw her live twice, she is awesome! Rihanna, only in December then I'll be able to talk, but Rih has that swagger on!

This interview was made for the Swedish news paper Aftonbladet's web page. It's the biggest in Sweden. And of course they had a huge headline that Britney won't answer questions and that her team quickly stopped the interview way too early. They claim that the interviewer had been promised 15 minutes but only got 3 because of the question he asked. They always bad mouth Britney
I could barely watch the interview just because it was so embarrasing with his stuttering and weird speech. Really awkward.

Well, I think the BBC interview went very well, it was way more natural they could have done it in this one as well

Britney Spears doesn't have "anything to prove".
The 'Hold it Against Me' hitmaker kicked of the European leg of her tour promoting seventh album, 'Femme Fatale' in St Petersburg, Russia, Thursday night and after selling over 70 million albums in her career so far, she doesn't feel pressure to do anything more than have "fun" on stage.
She said: "I don't really have anything to prove at this point. I just do it for fun and see what happens.
"I have a good group of people around me. We have the show at a certain time every night. And we just try to stay consistent on having a routine and staying fit and healthy."
Britney also promised the stage show for the Femme Fatale Tour is as lively as ever.
She said: "The show is really fun for me, it's one of the most entertaining shows that I've ever done. There are six or seven costume changes, the dancers are just on fire and it's a lot of fun. It's a fun show."
The singer is set to turn 30 in December, but isn't worried about reaching the landmark age, as she feels is growing all the time.
She added: "I hear the older you get, the wiser you get and the more you know what you want. Hopefully it'll be a good year."

Yess, she didn't lie
She can do what she wants and have fun with her music now. She doesn't have to be constantly pushing the envelope or revolutionise music or anything. She has done all that, she can have fun and do the music she loves now.

Well she doesn't, in reality no one does, but that doesnt mean she won't...like she said in her other interview she wants to 'push herself see just how far she can go musically". At the end of the day, no one has anything to prove to anyone, other than themself.

I'm glad she's having fun and everything, but i just think she still has to prove to the general public and her peers that she can still dance and sing, every promo performance she's done this era has just damaged her legacy instead of adding to it. I don't really take her saying that as a good thing.
She does the slave and hiam choreo really well, but the public doesn't know how well she's improved and how much better she dances now because she doesn't promote, all they've seen is her bloated self walking in performances on gma and jimmy kimmel, sitting on stereos for the whole bfb performance and her lip syncing her way through a 30 second appearance. Basically, i think that she still has to 'prove' that she still has it and is not the joke that lots of people think she is......

She provea it every night on her tour, if they cared enough or gave a **** they would venture to see it on tour or on youtube....And if they don't, those are the people she doesn't need to to be trying to prove anything to.

well in the interview I'm pretty sure she was talking musically not performance wise. And those performances really werent that bad as your making them out to be. I mean sure they weren't slave 2001 but they weren't bad.

She could go on stage and perform like it was 2001 and people would STILL make fun of her and what not.
Luckily that's just ATRL and the internet. Most people love her outside of the internet and are not here for trolls.

The only people that would watch the videos on tour are her fans though. She still needs to gain back some of the fans she's lost and some new ones. Which is why artists promote, to sell their music and themselves. People wont want to venture to see it on tour after seeing how she performed in the promo performances which is my point. If you saw an artist performing like she did on gma and jimmy kimmel, would you want to see her on tour? No. But whatever i'm done talking about this.
