It's standard in this day and age for a lot of producers to get some sort of acknowledgement, and I'm just thankful we weren't subjected to Rihanna having to namedrop Mr. Harris during the intro. There's nothing tackier than a spoken/sung Red One-uhn, I hear you D. Guetta, ITS'S THE ****ING CATARACS! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?, or other things of that nature.

I agree with this, but I think the "shout out" works for
some artists
sometimes.
Sometimes, the "shout out" flows with the song. It depends on how catchy the name of the producer is. I'd rather prefer the simpler approach in which the producer lays an instrument sound within the song. I'm not huge on Red One, but when the artist isn't yelling out his name in an idiotic fashion, I think it's real classy and cool that he always has that horn sound in the tracks that he produces for people. It's a very distinct sound, but not overwhelming.

Don't do it.

"Cheers (Drink To That)" is one of the two
best songs on "Loud" and deserves more love than "We Found Love."
