Good Girl Gone Bad + Rated R
Correct.
And what else did those two albums have in common??.....A two year gap.

Most artists take time to live and experience life a little bit more before they start to write and make new music, hence the 1 year or more waits for new material. We all know Rihanna can get all these smash hits delivered in a silver platter in just a blink of an eye, so why waste time doing nothing when she loves to work?
I agree that she should've waited for the LOUD tour to end at least

I'm not un-grateful for new Rihanna though.
I'm ready to pop my *****/dick slang to "We Found Love".

You want to have the audacity to tell me that album cuts like Rockstar, Stupid in Love, Photographs, Te Amo are of higher quality than a majority of Loud?
You want to tell me that California King Bed isn't amongst her best ballads ever recorded?
You want to tell me that What's My Name isn't innovative in sound and didn't spark an output of copy-cat songs from lessor artists?
You want to tell me that Man Down didn't carry a strong message, much like Rated R did, while beautifully meshing her original Island sound with current appeal?
You want to tell me that half of the filler on MOTS, AGLM, and GGGB even compare to the stuff she's recently done?
You're clearly out of your element here. I'd suggest backing down now.

You're trying your best and I admire your stansmanship, but it doesn't work. As a whole Loud is far inferior to Rated R at best and a filler album at worst.

Albums go through MULTIPLE song changes and directions. The fact that Rihanna essentially records anything that pops up isn't really beneficial to anyone. She wouldn't have time to explore and get/write enough tracks to build a true body of work.

Okay, Rated R is a better album than Loud. Been said that since November of 2010. What's your point? Has the quality necessarily diminished? No.
Does every single album every artist makes have to be better then the last? Please find me one artist who has done that.
Rated R was (so far) the critical highpoint of her career, but Rihanna is not just an artist putting out music. She is a popstar, a global icon. Making albums like Rated R is not going to cut it. Loud is what she had to do in order to stay a big player in the music industry.
Rihanna is a popstar, and sad to say, a lot of times what is "high quality" and what is a hit differs. She's one of the few people in the world who can intertwine between both on a consistent basis.

cause her label is needs money and no one else on there roster is brining in ....
And ofcourse she has no say over her career.

Goodness
Anyways I like her music and most of her songs are generally well produced. So as long as she loves what shes doing which i'm sure she is, it doesn't matter how many albums she puts out. Maybe she just's wants to surpass certain artists, or increase the $$$. There are so many possibilities to why she puts out her albums so quickly. And people need to stop bringing up her talent and involvements with her music career.

Article Invalid. She chose the songs she wanted on the CD, and she chose to have people that's she worked with before attend the writing camp that she obviously enjoys working with.
|
She's going to get burned out from saying "I like this, don't like that, let's try this again"?
The article is NOT invalid. It's NPR. As credible as it gets.
I'm not saying she's uninvolved or doesn't like recording music. But when NPR reports that there is a village consisting of dozens of top-of-the-line industry experts who cost millions of dollars (and who all get paid BEFORE Rihanna) putting her hits together for her, it's hard to see why she'd get burned out.
And so I say keep bringing on the hits every Xmas season, Rihanna.

For me, this is a bit rushed. I'm a supporter of Rihanna, I will buy her music or any music that I consider good for that matter, but I'm still jamming out to OG & CKB. I'm not ready for new music at this point. I won't try to predict how this will affect her in the long run, although I do agree that its just a bit too much right now. She needs to take a break & let her fans miss her.
I don't understand how you start a new era when you're still in the middle of one.

If she's not interested in experiment that process, that means she's not a REAL artist

... in your opinion. Whats your point? Time doesn't reflect quality anyway, since they took about the same time to record.
