I don't use that 80's version of the movie either. 2007 or nothing for me.
It's my favorite movie of all time, the one I've seen the most.. and not to mention it's the first film where I cried just because it ended and not because of anything sad happening in it, etc..

The 80's version sucks. I love the broadway version though, especially Amber. The broadways character is hilarious, in plus we get COOTIES!
My favorite musical of all time is RENT. Although I love hairspray, the songs get a little too ditzy for me. RENT was raw and it made me cry alot more than hairspray did. (both made me boohoo
