She sold 40k ish for most of The Fame monster (and that was with "shiny new" syndrome too) so how would she sell 100k weekly? Your expectations are completely out of step with anything she could have ever achieved.

Oh and Oops! sold 15m compared to Baby's 23m. Stripped sold 10m to Christina Aguilera's 16...I could go on.

What do you want me to say? How would you like me to address this? I don't understand why you're continuously nitpicking at my posts to find some sort of negativity that is not there.

so how would she sell 100k weekly? Your expectations are completely out of step with anything she could have ever achieved.

Maybe 100K per week is asking a bit too much considering the sales period, but I'm just saying numbers on the top of my head for the sake of explaining to you that I would prefer to see consistency over the erratic nature of her chart performance so far.

I'm going to give you some food for thought. Since I already told you that I don't know how her weekly sales for TF/TFM were, wouldn't it be possible that I wouldn't know that 100k was unrealistic. Even more did I not already state that perhaps that was a bit much, but I was just throwing out numbers to get the point across that I wanted consistency more than anything. As I already said, I don't care about the total number of copies. I'm proud of that. I do however wish that her sales weren't AS front-loaded.

By the expression "Going less hard" it might mean in the sound of production. BTW is very heavily produced and over the top (but it works because it's supposed to be like that).... Maybe less produced. This doesn't mean she's gonna do a Lovegame remake...thank god. She probably means a "lighter" sound but still with the lyrical depth she's started this era. She likes moving forward. She gets bored very easily.

Oh and for the record...can I remind you that The Fame sold 5.7m in 2009 and The Fame monster sold 5.8m in 2010....and I can see BTW going past 6m this year (in a mere 6 months) with all the international promo she has coming up (lots in the UK, Germany, the india trip etc). It's her highest and fastest selling album yet. What do you want from her? Would 10m in 3 months have been enough? 20m in 6 months? With The Fame monster sales aswell this is by far her fastest selling album year yet...she should do 7-8m albums by the end of the year.

BTW will certainly go past 6M this year.... with the release of MTN, or Scheisse. But that leaves it at 6 Million... still far from TFM.

But what makes you think she'll do another 6 Million next year while she's on tour, when all she has left to release is Government Judas, The Queen, Bad Kids etc.

I never expected consistency Ra2...I knew this era would have huge ups and downs and I expected the big drop....but I knew Troy and her team would make it work. They said in a couple of interviews they didn't care "about the first 6 months" and that they were more concerned about it's sales in 18 months time.

iiiits not negative! people just view successes differently.. the only thing gaga should be compared to is herself. This album is not commercial at all. Alot of the lyrics, production even the freakin cover artwork is mainstream. she is doing what she wants and in my opinion is selling very well. This is how you change pop music or "do it your way", the music is fresh and i think she is trying to show fans and people she doesn't care about charts this year and trying to get everyone else on that mine frame as well. its again that argument of how people view value

See, I expected it to be the same way, but I wanted it to be more consistent is all.

Also, of course they wouldn't care about the first 6 months, they got the huge pay off immediately, and during the worst sales period. They still have the tour and the holiday sales period to go. Of course that's where they're most concerned.

I'm still excited about this era.

It's quite the adrenaline rush, despite the fact that it makes me flat line sometimes.

Of course she won't...but that won't make it a flop. I still maintain she can do 10m+ with this album. It's farrrrr from over. The Fame was 1 album and The Fame monster though an ep/re-release was essentially heavily promoted like a new album. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
