I miss the days when everybody cared more about the music quality than charts tbh. Why are you pressed because of that? Yoü and I is doing great and the fact that it goes down to number 5 won't change that. Plus, it might go back to number 4 if it can keep increasing and overtake the current number 3.
Really guys, I feel like everybody just wants Gaga to be at the top of the charts when that should never be the most important thing imo. I do care about charts and sales but not that much tbh. If BTW had only sold around 2 million copies by now, I would still be happy because of the quality of the music. As I have already said, just enjoy the music, don't get so obsessed with charts .

It's when we gift the song to people that don't live in the U.S. or the other countries that's on iTunes. Gifts will count as sales. Good technique to make this a smash.

The reason people are whipped into a frenzy like that is because of certain members.

Certain members think a decrease in sales MUST be the result of a decrease in quality, and if you refuse to admit that decrease in quality, then you're delusional, and nobody likes to be called delusional.

Eh, I don't think there's any problem with caring about the sales.

I don't necessarily care about the sales, but seeing Y&I at #4 makes me happy because that means Gaga is succeeding.

If anything, Adele has helped Gaga by making iTunes buyers interesting in buying ballads in droves.

Remember when she was trying to make Speechless a single and the public was having none of it? When she performed it at the AMAs the night before TFM's release? Then on Ellen. Then used it to open the Grammys in front of ~30M people (with Elton John!). Then on Oprah. But still the song barely cracked the Top 100 on iTunes. And this was during Gaga at her hottest, right on the heels of the Paparazzi video/VMA performance and the BR video, the same year she scored two 6M singles.

Adele single is not gonna be big in the Us, the song is too slow and is not as catchy as RITD, SLY is an amazing song don't get me wrong, but is not the type of song that top the charts that easily, so i understand why is dropping so fast on Itunes! I'm happy if Y&U becomes a top 5 hit that's all i'm asking for!

Personally, my problem is not that fans care about sales. I mean, even if I like it or not, sales are part of the music industry. My problem is that everybody (not only Gaga fans) seems obsessed with them and with charts. My problem is that it seems to me that many people think they are even more important than the quality of the music and it should never be like that. Music quality should always come first imo.
