I actually REALLY like Bruno Mars. His music is good, his voice is amazing, he is extraordinarily talented, and he's hot but in a unique way. Ever since I heard "Grenade" I've been telling everyone he is going to be the next Michael Jackson.

Bruno's got a hell of a voice, and great producing/musician skills. I find most of the music on his debut studio album (Doowops...) to be pretty generic though. I loved his mixtape The Lost Planet before he got famous...he has a knack for nice hooks/melodies...I just hope he gets more experimental and raw on the next album. Songs like "Just the Way You Are" and "Marry You", while having nice hooks and tunes...are too bubblegum pop sappy for me. I love his demos for "Ladies is Pimps Too" and "Dancing With the Stars" though.
As far as being the next Michael Jackson, he has the vocal and musical talent that Michael had at his age. He needs to take more risks and be more creative in the way that Michael did. MJ did things no other pop stars did before and effortlessly mixed genres and made them accessible to everyone, with killer videos and vision to match. I don't think Bruno has that, but he could prove me wrong.
