I used to think that little boy was a cheap Harry Potter rip-off...
And he was gay. I remember he had pink sheets with flowers on them in his room.

I second this. The detective, ghost hunter and designer/architect professions are fun. The stylist career was pretty boring.

Detective is fun, the Sim I'm playing right now is a private investigator (you know, the one where I had to start all over with her 35 cases ). I never tried the ghosthunter and interior designer careers.
The stylist career was definitely a flop though. There were never enough Sims in my neighborhoods to make over. Firefighter was an, erm, "interesting" experience as well.

Generations is alright. You mainly notice the changes with the teenagers though. They now have graduations, proms, award ceremonies, mood-swings, punishment, the works. Also the elders walk around with canes now and its so adorable lol. But I'll chose Late Night or Ambitions before Generations.

The family, the roomies. A lesbian couple, but technically aren't married, since you can't do that in the sims with same sex couples

My faves are Ghosthunter, Private Eye, Firefighter & Interior Designer.
Stylist isn't that bad... I love to make my neighbours ugly.

Even in Sims 1 you could do that. It just had to be two people in total love.
Even the Sims knows more about equality than certain human groups against civil rights.

Wait, how do you adopt kids, do you like go to an adoption center, or does the phone ring, asking you to adopt like they did in the original Sims

i think the phone rings asking do you want to adopt a child. I adopted two little boys and made my sim have sex with them, so they can be gay
