Stumbled upon this awesome post. For whatever reason it upset me a bit. I guess it's dead obvious that by far the biggest mistake she has made this era is that she didn't promote the hell out of TEOG with a piano.
It's what she needs. The "approval" of the older generation to cultivate a strong message within this generation.

Yeah, if nothing else all her acoustic piano performances have been able to differentiate from other pop stars in the mind of older people -- "well, I don't get all her crazy outfits, but at least she can actually sing."
Not because of the quality music? (Well, some of it)
Oh, no, def. the music is quality. But at this point in time, Gaga doesn't have the mass appeal she once had simply because she has transitioned from that image. She's still huge with the public, but it's her fans that are her driving force.

Soooo many people judge her on her looks, if they could just look past that and realize she is very talented.
