Sure. But it could be better if someone well-experienced handled the technical aspects of the video.
Says who, though? If the end result is better than the vast majority of what mainstream video directors have produced as of late there's no reason to think there would necessarily have been any improvement.
I am all about collaboration with other talented, creative people, but if I really like the end result and don't see much room for improvement in specific areas I can hardly complain. And I think TEOG is one of the worst videos ever made from a technical standpoint.

I do. If a video directed by a choreographer and a singer is really good imagine what could come up if it is too directed by a professional.
Watered down version of BR. I was so disappointed when I heard it (and I told you). I couldn't believe she tried the same lazy RAH RAH GAGA / JUDA JUDA GAGA formula; it goes against everything she stands for. This in addition to the familiar oh oh oh opening, weak chorus & unpleasant screams. Worst single she's put out to date.
That's exactly what I thought when I heard it for the first time - I just COULDN'T understand why everyone was loving it and I was hating it. It felt like such a stupid and cheap trick.
I kept trying to swallow it for many weeks, but then I gave up... and now I do like it
It might be Bad Romance 2.0 but the beat feels completely different, it's very, hm... hard? It can get very annoying but it's a nice track.

I guess I don't see much difference between this and saying "Gaga's songs are good, but imagine how good they could be if she hired a mainstay producer like Dr. Luke."

That's actually very true! I've never thought about it like that!

You can't compare. I know Fernando Garibay might not be as experienced as Dr Luke when it comes to making huge commercial hits, but Fernando is an actual producer whereas Laurie Ann is merely a choreographer.

Creating these rigid boxes for people is silly and counter-productive. The three things Laurie-Ann directed -- Judas video, TEOG Google commercial, and Y&I video -- have been the best received of the era.
You don't have to go to film school to be a director, most of the best film directors didn't (note: I am NOT putting Laurie Ann / Gaga anywhere near that level, only making a point.) The end product is either good or it isn't.
Yeah, that's fine, I just can't relate to the perception of TF/TFM eras being flawless at all.
Bad Romance was flawless, the song and the video, the performances in The Fame era were stellar, but i think is too soon to give an opinion about the BTW era is not done yet, and we have a few singles to come, like i said i love the album, i just didnt like the single choices, i'm really excited because whatever the 5th single is i know i'm going to love it, i'm just hoping for that wow video!
Gurls, I just watched a movie that effected me really hard. So I want to show some love..
I love you all.
I love every single one of you.
I love you so bad, you can't even imagine.
Live your life gurls. Live your life. Enjoy it. Because hell, I know I won't.
*kisses* *loves* *and all that good stuff*
Judas may be BR 2.0 but I have no problem with that since Judas is better.
I think Judas is better than Bad Romance too because it's more agressive, what for me was a problem with Bad Romance. But I'm afraid to say and be called a mindless little ****
