As a simple country/rock love ballad, You+I doesn't sound so risky.
But released by a popstar who not too long ago put out electropop dance songs about being drunk in the club, it's a HUGE risk.

I see, but considering that, wouldn't Alejandro, Born This Way and The Edge of Glory be risky choices too? Wouldn't Alejandro be too weird, or wouldn't Born This Way be too, hm, gay , or wouldn't The Edge of Glory be too big for someone who used to put out dance songs about being drunk in the club?
Of course they all have a dance beat, but one day she'd have to release a ballad anyway. And I don't know how people in the US react to this, but wouldn't it be nice for her to show a softer side?
That slightly reminds me of Live to Tell, by Madonna...

Commercial appealing and commercial might not be the same , maybe Bad Romance wasn't commercial appealing but it was commercial for some reason went number, it was and is a great song and it sounds like a hit!

You said the public will find the song boring and it needs stunts. I replied that she should then release music that the public doesn't find boring so the music can stand on its own, stunt-free. Period.
The rest is none of your business. BR is not even my favorite thing she's done. I don't like the You+I video. I will continue to discuss her and complain as I please. Put me on ignore if you don't like it.

She releases music that isn't boring and pairs it with stunts. That's how she has always been.
You don't like the Y&I video because your idiotic expectations and desires are so far up your ass that you will never be happy. Why you pretend to still be a fan is beyond me.

Sure, all those songs are risky in some way considering JD was her debut and topped the charts just 2 years ago.
I wasn't saying she shouldn't have released Y+I. I was responding to people who said it's not a risky single to put out.

You delusional dumbass ****ing fans would assume that anyone not liking the video (ie, a lot of people) automatically has "idiotic expectations and desires that are up their asses."

The fact you all compare Y+I and BR video is retarded. The BR video ***** all over Y+I video. Gaga needs professionals to work with. Not her tacky ass friends. She is NOT God. She can sing and dance, but she is no video guru. She needs help. You will deal.

People are saying the BTW is a complete mess and implying that TF/TFM was completely flawless. Which is completely not the case, at least, not in the UK. For example, when she completely changed her Brits performance at the last minute and effectively ruined her promotion for Telephone. Then there was the Alejandro video. Then all the promotion she missed in the UK when the XF was on.

People always romanticize the past.
Oh, and I think both Judas and Y&I are better than any videos Joseph Kahn has directed in the past seven years, at least.

OK, I guess I agree here... at the end of the day people still associate the name "Lady Gaga" to "that po-po-po-poker rah-rah-ah-ah-ah bitch" or the "crazy electro-pop girl"
You got the point.

Judas should always have been released. It is one of my favourite songs on the album and it's a real shame it didn't perform as it deserved to.

It will be funny to see, two or three years from now, people saying things like "oh Lord, this era is a mess. I miss the old 2011 Gaga and her flawless teal hair "

Not people it was me, and yes TF/TFM era was completely flawless for some reason you are here and you are a stan, it was the rise of Lady GaGa is the reason why everybody knows her name, Btw era still can be better so far, at least single wise is a mess, visually is good but not excellent, and that's just my opinion, musically is amazing and i love almost every song, i don't want the old GaGa back, i want focused GaGa that's all i'm asking! not because i'm criticizing my fave means i'm not a stan anymore, i'm not delusional, when something is not alright i have to said it is just my opinion, and yes GaGa can make mistakes, the problem is that she is the biggest pop star in the world!
