I really hope she stays with her reg of 250k but with the economy the way it is, I can't see that happening. 150k I would be happy with.

Exactly. I mean, someone as popular as Britney Spears only sold 170K with a lead single that reached No.1 and sold over 400K in the first week. Although Kelly as quite a solid fan base, its the general music industry that is at its downfall. I would be extremely happy if she gets over 150K.

Kelly Clarkson on leaked songs: She was 'robbed'
In mid-July, Kelly Clarkson returned from a vacation in Tahiti to discover that almost an album’s worth of her songs had leaked onto the Internet. Naturally, she was none too pleased. “Oh my God, have you ever been robbed? I have. I’ve been physically robbed a couple of times, but this is much worse,” Clarkson tells EW exclusively in her first public remarks about the incident.
Clarkson says she has no clue how songs including “Let Me Down,” “Dumb + Dumb = U,” “Cleopatra,” “Don’t Be a Girl About It” ended up online. But once they did, fans, eager for new material from the singer, quickly snatched them up.
Sure, the tunes were well-received, but there was a problem: They were old, and most of them weren’t even meant for her. “There are songs out there that are from eight or 10 years ago [from when Clarkson was recording her first album, Thankful.] … People are always asking me to write for other artists. They’re awesome songs, [but] they’re just not songs I would normally sing.”
The singer was also concerned for her fans — and her image. “Those songs came out and people are like, “Oh my God, what direction is Kelly going?” she says. “I think what made me mad was that: 1) People stole from me, and 2): Everybody had no idea what my next album was going to sound like. That really caused a lot of confusion.”
A couple of the leaked tunes (Clarkson won’t say which ones) will make it on to her fifth studio album, Stronger, which is schedule to drop Oct. 25. (Her lead single, “Mr. Know It All,” is scheduled to be released in early September.) “Here’s the best part though,” she promises fans. “Nothing that’s leaked is the final version. Those are all demos.”
So while she’s excited for her next album, she admits that even she hasn’t heard the final version of the release. “I don’t even have it, by the way, because I’m so freaked out to put it on my computer,” she says.

Good EW article. I noticed they said "a couple leaked tunes" a couple means two; I think they meant to say 'some' I would hope 3-5 of the leaks make the album.

No shade but Kelly will actually promote, plus its the time of year where sales pick up. FF was released at a bad time of the year. I think she'll do 150k+

Wow thats awesome. Ok i really hope its What Doesn't Kill You(Stronger) and Let Me Down. As much as I love Dark Side I would much rather have those 2 on the album. Although, Dark Side kind of goes with the whole Stronger vibe....
 I JUST NEED TO KNOW lol

I just realized tomorrow the second ballot closes for the CMA Awards. Boy, I wish I knew a CMA member or insider, lol. The nominees will be announced early Sept. I don't know if it's the first or second week the nominations are announced, but it would be awesome to get a new single and a CMA nomination in the same week! Jason and Kelly have to be nominated for Musical Event of the Year that song did so well.

A nomination for Don't you wanna stay is a must !! It's currently #2 at the most played country song in the US and #1 most played country song in Canada.

I'm starting to think that Kelly is seeing a demo as a unfinished song which excludes mixing. I do think that the songs we heard are in the final form andjust hasn't been mixed yet. Noticed how she said that she didn't hear the final version yet ?? How can you not hear the final version if you have recorded it again ? So the song are the final version but they haven't been mixed yet.

Yes, a lot of people say "a couple" when they actually mean some. I can see more then two songs making the album. There is no way imo that What doesn't kill you and I forgive you don't make the album. Nobody works with A-list producers like darkchild and just let the song go to waste.
Not long ago a fan asked kelly if she had a song similar as 7 nation army in the album, Kelly said no but she has a song that is pretty intense in particuler but she didn't want to say the name of the song, and I really think she was talking about "Let me down"..
So the leaks I think that are making the abum are : What Doesn't Kill You, I Forgive You, Dark Side and Let Me Down. If any of those get choosen for Dumb, I will be pissed. I like Dumb but the others have more single potential.

So the EW magazine comes out this friday.... Is Kelly going to be on the cover ? I really hope so. It's going to be great promo for the single.

I still haven't heard any of the leaks except for Let Me Down!
I want this album to be a surprise and listening to every leak...will ruin it LOL.
Since she said that some of the leaks are not even for her and that some are from years ago I am starting to think that Dumb + Dumb = You (I heard 10 seconds of it on accident) was either written for someone else or from Thankful. It has the vibe of Thankful and I can't really see Kelly singing a song with those lyrics.

How many demos does she have, floating around and all?
I swear, LMD, DK, IFY, & WDKY have to be on the album, they all fit so well I wonder how many tracks will be on the album I wonder what MKIA sounds like If the album has songs like those 4 that leaked, this may be my AOTY

"Dumb + Dumb" was produced and co-written by Toby Gad. This was the first time Kelly's worked with him. Kelly had tweeted two pictures of them together around Jan/Feb. and said they did 2 songs together, which were D+D and another called "The War Is Over".
