Nowadays, folks don't give that much about lyrics unless it's the typical love songs for overweight housemothers. Scheisse is catchy so I wouldn't be surprised if it became a hit.

It's time to take risks. And besides, Gaga has pushed boundaries before and has done the impossible.

This isn't being phrased rudely, but since when was the last time Lady Gaga released singles just for the sake of being "risky?" They're meant to promote the album commercially.

And The Edge of Glory was a huge radio hit, so I don't really know what you're referring to with that one. :-p

I like Scheisse, I just simply don't see it being huge on US radio.

Scheiße could quite easily be a hit, though. The gibberish bits are irrelevant, as they would most likely be removed in a radio edit.

Well, here in Spain TEOG is still climbing up the charts because it was added to radios just a month ago. We're a little bit late for everything, u know...

I remember how Alejandro managed to stay in the Spanish top 50 for almost a year. It's one of her most lauded songs here. A def smash.

Bad Romance reentered the top 50 last week too. That's what u call LONGEVITY ha!

The Edge Of Glory was a hit but I want an other signature hit. Something on the level of Pokerface and Bad Romance. Something TEOG isn't / wasn't.

What I meant to say is that even though Gaga tries to appeal (and often succeeds) commerically, a lot of her singles are not your typical pop songs. Born This Way, Bad Romance and even Pokerface at the time. It's all about catchiness. So Scheisse could easily appeal. Even with the gibberish.

Spain's not the only country, a lot of international radio is behind when it comes to singles.
Usually following the US once it becomes a hit there.

If people hear the catchy chorus before the gibberish ever comes in I doubt they'll care as much in comparison to being subjected to 30 seconds of it right from the get-go.

Agreed! If any of the bornthisway songs have smash hit potential I think its Scheisse. Although i wouldn't be mad if government hooker, electric chapel, marrythenight, heavymetallover, or blackjesus were released. I think I would be ok with anything but americano/hair.

They could, however, edit how much the gibberish is repeated in the intro.

The first 48 seconds is essentially the gibberish.

Somehow, someway, they could edit some of the gibberish out so that it's not so lengthy.

They could do, "I don't speak German, but I can if you'd like..." then go from the beat at :20 until :33 and then continue with "I'll take you out tonight, etc,.."

exactly, i agree... Sheisse and maybe Americano (long shot) are the only 2 songs left on the album imo that have a chance of being 'iconic' gaga hits ala PF/BR

The rest. I don't think there are bad songs on this album. The one that comes closest to bad is Bad Kids because of those horrible chorus and bridge. The bonus tracks are all OK.

I have a little problem with Marry the Night. Sometimes I think it's one of her greatest tracks ever but sometimes I think it's terribly messy, the vocals don't fit the production. In fact I have a similar problem with many tracks on this album
