Radio is just catching on. Sure the spin increases have been big, but it takes time before its big enough to create sustainable digital sales.

Well, I guess in defense of KIIS, they're doing good with Y&I with week to week numbers. Today's numbers are more of what we'll see from them now that the hype is fading.

In fairness, KIIS seem to play Y&I more often in the afternoon. It was played 4 times yesterday, only once before 12noon, and that was at 5am

I don't think KIIS is shading Gaga though. I really think songs like Edge of Glory and You and I simply perform better in big eastern cities (and in the case of You and I, southern cities) versus California.

KIIS spins In the Dark plenty + that Take over control song. More dance/hip hop flavor in that area because of a different demographic. Not as white dominated as say Boston.

I can't imagine Gaga going full on urban for an album. Maybe darker songs like Judas + Government Hooker though.

And, if she knows whats good for her, some fun dance tracks to be released as singles.

YAS! Gaga knows what she's doing. She saw the positive feedback for the Y&I video, so I think she's gonna keep the momentum going. She proved she doesn't need a professional, for me at least.

Well, radio play is dictated by what's popular. They're not going to play Y&I unless people want them to. That's why fans requesting songs is so important.
