I wish Capitol would be less concerned about #1s. It giving me Def Jam/Rihanna teas. I dont want it. I happy with top 10 singles and lead #1s. I hope Capitol wont turn into these desperate monster for #1s, it should focus on singles sales, album sales and longetivity more.
I agree. I don't understand why people are taking jabs at her album sales, they seem OK to me.

I don't think they expected to get all these #1 in a row, and when Capitol glanced at the possibility of Katy tying the record, they decided to concentrate a little bit more on that; but now that she has done it, I'm sure the #1s won't be that much of a priority from now on

It's just a million away from 3x Platinum and I'm sure she'll get there with ease and LFN will bring Teenage Dream (The Album) to the x2 Platinum mark by the end of the year

i wish more of the general public knew just how amazing katy's voice is... she is so underrated in that way, a lot think she cant sing (tho more are coming to realize she can i've noticed) because of a few bad firework performances (which is tremendously difficult to sing, and dont even get me started on judas - lady gaga @ ellen or snl . tho i believe katy can sing firework & hit all the notes if she wasnt moving really and comfortable.) and bad performances from a couple years ago. Her voice has improved a lot since then do to vocal training and maybe less attention paid to performing(jumping around running around stage as she did a lot on the OOTB tour) and more on vocals... but I just hate how Katy is labeled as the no-talent singer when she really does have great talent... tho watching all her tour vids and how good she sounds is changing peoples minds... (my friend who is a huge adele fan, doesn't really like katy and actually doubted her vocal talent went to her tour and was blown away and is now a fan.) so I really feel she is building a bigger fanbase for the next album... I think she can change the way the public views her talent in the next few years (and if she wins grammies, vmas, etc) it will definitely make her more permanent in the music industry and she will be taken more seriously & the pressed souls here that said she will be gone here in 5 years will just have to see... I hope she can stay relevant that long though... but even if she doesn't I will ALWAYS stan for her. Even if she flop like Ciara and people make a joke of her, i dont care!! I was stanning since right before IKAG blew up... I remember watching the chart progression on itunes and seeing Katy hit the top and it was so amazing
