I think so too. People fail to realize that Nicole has quite a bit of pull in the stanbase. All the voting+requesting she'd have people do even after she stopped stanning for her etc... Gaga stalks Twitter too much to not realize the effect that has on her airplay and popularity.
Also, the simple fact that Gaga actually went to reply one of Nicole's tweets from last night just goes to show that she does keep an eye on what she's saying.
