I hope she won't make mistake with new album aka pull off completely different sound like Rihanna did with Rated R. I want more WW friendly , diverse record. With electronic pop, rockish, hip hop, dance songs. Mix of everything. I'm glad she's going to take some time off. I want something BIG.
So what are we gonna do, about the voting thing then?
good question.

She's going for this pop-folk sound for the next record. I think TD was more a of mixture: electo inspired pop-rock (Teenage Dream, Last Friday Night), electropop (Cali Gurls) techno (Firework), urban techno (Peacock), 80s-era rock (Circle the Drain, Hummingbird Heartbeat), celestial hip-hop (E.T.), piano driven pop (Not Like the Movies).

Idk how I feel about she taking some time off. I hope it's just a short break (6 months) I mean she's on a hot streak. If she's on break too long, she might lose the buzz.
But I'm here for better material. I want Urban Katy this time.

The problem with Rated R was that it was so drastically different from her previous album. Like, Katy has already explored an angrier side with this album on CTD, and I think that te transition would be much easier for her.

Like Capitol is going to allow that

Nonsense. She's getting overexposed.

Plus, Rated R is Rihannas best album. P
CTD wasn't a single. Yes,Rated R is Rihanna's best album but we all know what it did for her.
PS: Bad news guys. The Wonder Woman that Katy supposedly writes music for is cancelled I'm watching the pilot now.
Oh I really gave up on that. Pity, Katy/her songs would have been wonderful.

Well she has worked with a lot of hip-hop artists so far, like Timbaland, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, not to talk about that E.T. is heavily hip-hop influenced even without Kanye. She even said in 2008 March she would like to do a hip hop album in the future. She's Californian of course she attracted to hip-hop. and its just a collab on somebody elses album anyways.

what did it for her? Expanding her fanbase like no of her other albums could, earning critical acclain. Rater R played a crucial role in Rih carreer. It was when ppl started to be interested on her. Many hadn't listened to her music until they heart Rated R.
