Of course EC would not smash, because it is not single material. Singles are the most generic things, unlike album favourites and best tracks that define the album. Actually, Americano wouldn't do too good either (imo - your opinion about it would) because of the lacking structure of the song (somehow) and it might get backlash because of the heavy political theme. But who knows? We'll see about EC or Americano singles.
Singles are just the tracks that are most commercial, but I hoped you'd know commercialism does not equal quality at all
. Regardless, HML, Scheiðße and Judas **** on the rest.
But imo Americano is one of the best songs on BTW. 
Almost too much to handle.
