For me it goes like "4">B'Day>DIL>>>>>>>>>>>>>>IASF.
She considers "4" and DIL to be her classic because it is her most cohesive albums and they are RnB/soul albums where her voice shines the most. B'Day is maybe better than DIL but some songs like "Me Myself and I" or "The Closer I get to You" "Speechless" **** on it. Sadly their are some letdowns like "That's How you like It" or the "I'd rather be with U"'s remake that makes B'day the stronger album of the two.
-----
All of DIL is ****ing classic, even the songs the fans are always bringing down like "Hip Hop Star", "That's How I Like It", "I Rather Be With You" etc. They ****!!
It was in a magazine interview in 2003 right after the VMAs....she dissed both Bee & Britney...and I dont feel like searching the paper cuz Xtina opinion isnt that relevant
It was Blender - December 2003. She was their woman of the year; I was a subscriber at the time.
DIL is the type of soul that is really hard to listen to (at least for me), though I understand why she called it classic... I guess I'm still a very pop/urban person so B'Day and IASF are still kind of better than DIL as an album, especially B'Day. DIL's singles were FIRE though.
I completely disagree. The only good songs on DIL were the singles and the rest was just fillers. B'day was a good album but not extraordinary and IA.. SF was her 1st great album and 4 was also a great album. I think 4 and IA... SF are her best albums but thats just me.
Everybody thinks IA...SF is her best album because it had so many hits
4>DIL>B'Day>>>>>>>>>>>IASF
IASF was her worst album in my opinion. It had some cute songs but i think it fell flat. If it didn't have SL to save it idk how it would have turned out.
Since this thread has become "Which album is Beyoncé's Best 7.0," I guess my ranking would be...
4 >>> B'Day >> DIL > IASF.
I really respect the artistry that went into 4, B'Day and Resentment , Dangerously In Love was as strong a debut record as an artist could have asked for, and IASF was full of plenty of hot songs! Not one of the albums was bad, but I see exactly what Bey was saying when she said B'Day and IASF weren't developed as cohesive albums. Does that mean they aren't masterpieces? No... But the focus was on the singles, which were HOT!
Scans of Christina Aguilera’s article in Blender magazine have been posted. In the piece, Aguilera is critical of pop peers Destiny’s Child star Beyonce Knowles and Britney Spears. “Look at people like Beyonce or Britney,” Aguilera said. “They’re desperate to come across as sweet, good little girls, but then you see them in photo shoots that are extremely sexual—tight little booty shorts, and not much else. So why do they try to be virginal in interviews?” Aguilera then held her finger to her mouth, Lolita-like, and affects a note-perfect Spears impersonation. “‘Oh, gosh, I haven’t kissed a boy in I don’t know how long!’”
Christina also claimed Her mic was the only mic on claiming both Britney & beyonce were lipping.
