As for You and I, i dont think there's anything to worry about. No one should it expect it to explode and smash to #1 because that obviously wont happen, sometimes slow runs are better for a song anyway because they end up selling more than some songs which shoot to the top and then fall.
It has a lot of potential, I think it will do moderately well on pop and really well Hot ac, Adult contempory and maybe even rhythmic. It's one of the best songs on the album and a nice change of pace for her.
If she comes with a great music video then it should have no trouble at least hitting the top 10.

I just listened to Chillin and then listened to HML right after that. She has changed so much.

In the zone is one of her best as well, and it wasnt really a flop, but it's one of her lowest selling albums.

Blackout was probably my favorite Britney album until Femme Fatale.
I honestly have no clue as to why Femme Fatale hasn't sold as much.
I love almost all the tracks on the album (minus Big Fat Bass ).

I think she knows that she's going to have to deliver on this single, video, and performances.
I have complete faith that she will make some kind of success out of this.
Only GaGa.

I was considering whether or not Born This Way was her "Erotica." The album that wasn't received all that well and brought a ****-ton of criticism to her. Then she softened her image with Bedtime stories.
The consensus was that GaGa continues to push the buttons of the general public to the point that the effect of her controversial stuff has become numbed. Therefore, her so-called antics are less effective than they used to be.
I think if she were to soften up her "sound" or image that it would have a much more profound effect on her as a pop artist.
Also, by the way, I love American Life (the song). I'm still getting into that album itself. Oh, and I absolutely love 4 now. Start Over has gotten nearly like 70 plays in 2 days from me.

I just hope that she comes up with albums like "Like a Prayer" or "Ray of Light" in the future
I'd compare "The Fame" to "Like a Virgin" and "The Fame Monster" to "True Blue", maybe...
And YES about American Life, that song is amazing and so underrated. The rapping at the end is just...

If she ever has an album nearly as cohesive and magical as Confessions on a Dancefloor, I swear I might die.
The rapping at the end of American Life GIVES me life.
Slays me so hard.

You all shading Big Fat Bass
Yoü & I will be an interesting single to follow. I'm very bored with this era right now because I'm sick of The Edge of Glory.

Oh, Confessions is GREAT too, omg. Jump is one of my favorite Madonna songs EVER.
The linking between the songs was a great idea. For me it's impossible to listen Forbidden Love without listening to Jump right after, or listening to Future Lovers (one of the tranciest tracks I've ever heard) without listening to I Love New York.
And there's also the ****ing GEM that is Isaac. OMG I can't.
I miss a Madonna-discussing thread here in ATRL. Maybe when she comes back...

Oh. My. God.
I love you. Be here more often.
I think the fact that the songs are linked to be the most COOL thing like ever. It fascinates me. When I hear any song from Confessions, I have to listen to each and every song. Legit.
They're like one piece of art. Isaac is the gem of that entire album. It's like my 2nd most played Madonna song (Get Together being the most, only because it was the only Madonna song I liked before I took the time to listen to her discography).
I can't wait until her next album.

Hello, boys and girls. I just got home from Virginia Beach (saw a lot of hot people) and played The Fame to Born This Way. Born This Way OWNS the highway, I suggest you play it on road trips. Any news I've missed for the past 3 days?
