But my favorite artists' best albums are all commercially unsuccessful, so I legitimately can't wait for her to flop.. American Life + 4 >>>>>>
Can't wait till Gaga releases something like Erotica

I was thinking to @garageglamourous or w/e about this kind of.
I was considering whether or not Born This Way was her "Erotica." The album that wasn't received all that well and brought a ****-ton of criticism to her. Then she softened her image with Bedtime stories.
The consensus was that GaGa continues to push the buttons of the general public to the point that the effect of her controversial stuff has become numbed. Therefore, her so-called antics are less effective than they used to be.
I think if she were to soften up her "sound" or image that it would have a much more profound effect on her as a pop artist.
Also, by the way, I love American Life (the song). I'm still getting into that album itself. Oh, and I absolutely love 4 now. Start Over has gotten nearly like 70 plays in 2 days from me.

Definitely, and see what you're saying. I just love gimmick-Gaga
And is it bad I think Born This Way more as her 'Oops' ? It's almost the same circumstances, new artists' second-album after a global smash of a debut. if I had to compare it to a Madonna album though, I'd say like True Blue (I HOPE she hasn't already released her Erotica / American Life).
Oh and GOD, 4 YES YES. It made me go from hater to stan, legit. PERFECT ALBUM, one of the best I've ever listened to.

Yes, we had this discussion
I would agree, but didn't the critics give BTW great reviews when it came out? If anything, it's her fans who are the main ones bringing the criticism. (Minus the Judas/religious fiasco)

Haha, I love everything about Gaga. Flaws and all. She's more than just someone I listen to or follow on twitter. She's the reason I have such an outspoken voice. She's the reason my bravery exists the way it is. She's the reason that so many things about me have blossomed. I will always support her because of that.
I'm not too keen on True Blue, personally. I haven't listened to it much either, however.
Y'know, in comparison to Britney, I want to compare it to her self-titled. Radio support was much less during that era, and Britney the album seems to me to be the album where Britney was the most, "Britney," and I think it was probably her peak (a lot of Britney fans would say In the Zone, and I would almost agree).
I never disliked Beyonce, but I was never really a fan either. I added 4 to my iPod finally the other day and I fell in love with some of the tracks so hardcore. Start Over just gives me life.

A lot of them did, yes.
However, though, I guess the people who gave her negative reviews were the ones that never liked her and quite ironically didn't like Madonna either.
(I think this is why we came to the consensus last time that BTW is not her Erotica).

I guess we'll see where Born This Way ends up It really is a great album, and I have no doubt You & I will smash.. hard.

I think it's a great album.
I think despite ALL of our criticism and doubt that You and I will be another moderate hit.
I'm not sure if it'll do as good as TEOG on Pop radio though. However, I'm fairly certain that You and I will go at least 2X platinum, and it will be a big HAC/AC hit.

Blackout and femme fatale, which both have under performed.
In the zone is one of her best as well, and it wasnt really a flop, but it's one of her lowest selling albums.
