Well all we had to do last time was pick 3 videos, give a short description, and do top & bottom 3 for that too.. this time it's just our avatars & voting. I doubt there's anything more than that besides a double elimination afterwards, which was already announced.

Top Member Twist!

With Challenge 2 posted, now is the time to announce a twist! Public voting turned out to become quite the controversy last Cycle, but this Cycle I have devised a plan that will hopefully stop that from occurring again! What I will do is create a Poll for this round and allow the public to vote for ONE avatar. For each vote you get, 1/2 a point will be added to your final score (which will, once again, be calculated by subtracting your Bottom 3 vote score from your Top 3 vote score). Contestants may vote as well, and you are allowed to vote for yourself. However, there is no wall spamming or PMing for votes allowed, as that is what annoyed people last Cycle.

Whatever their motivation for voting, I think they deserve a vote, as the Top Member is supposed to be someone the rest of ATRL recognizes. All the little girls always vote for the heartthrobs on American Idol, and because most of the voters for those shows are little girls, the heartthrobs usually win. However, that is why I'm only making each of those votes worth 1/2 a point, and I'm also allowing the judges and contestants to vote (including for themselves if they see fit).

I guess Public Voting will always bring drama to Top Member... Though if you were here last Cycle you'd see why this method is much better. One cannot necessarily be ATRL's Next Top Member if they aren't allowed to be judged by the ATRL public.
