Well, nobody here said she deserved to die, though there are some around the internet that do believe that idiocy to be the case.

That being said, I agree with the general point. It was not surprising or shocking to hear that she had died. We all knew that she had demons, we all knew that she had a lot of personal problems. Doesn't make her death any less tragic, however. While I didn't particularly care for her music while she was alive, I cared for and respected her voice. I contend that it's the closest we have come to hearing Billie Holiday's voice roar back to life. It's a shame that we will never hear that voice again.
