How can you girls still be able to stan for Chris Brown after what happened. Sorry but I think that's sick.

No official words yet from Rihanna or Def Jam, but it's very likely seeing it already been getting adds.

If you like someones music, does that mean you stan for the person?

Stan or fan, when Brown is involved, they're just the same.
Go ahead and listen to him. That's your right.

I listen to his music, but as long as you don't buy his CD's or concert tickets it's oke.

I don't stan for him and no, stanning and being a fan are not the same when it comes to him or anyone. Liking him just because he hurt Rihanna is not a problem. His music is quality and I will enjoy it if I want to. It doesn't make me any less of a Rihanna stan to. Plus, they're both over it, so there is no reason for your continued resentments.
And get a new gif. I think using it a million times over in a million different threads is sick.

Not that him doing that was right, because it obviously wasn't, but my liking his music has nothing to do with my stanning for Rihanna.
I've stanned for Rihanna since the very beginning but I never treat new stans like that. I don't understand why some people do that. I mean, why would you be hostile towards new Rihanna stans? Having new stans isn't a bad thing unless they're total trolls, and I've only met a few Rihanna stans that were trolls. There are plenty that are dumb and annoying, but very few that are trolls. And it's not like I just write dumb and annoying stans off as being so because they're new, which is why I couldn't treat new stans as if they are all dumb and annoying. There are tons of Rihanna stans that have stanned for her for years and are still dumb and annoying.
I hope this makes sense.

I personally think that Chris made a mistake that he has to live with for the rest of his life. It was a horrible mistake, no denying that. After the incident, I really hated him. I really did not like him one bit. And then at a party, "Forever" came on and I actually didn't mind listenin' to him again.
And yes, it does make sense. A Navy member is a Navy member, and we shouldn't judge on how "new" they are. Just how they support Rihanna is all that matters.

When "Love the Way You Lie" was released, everyone was raving about how good the song was. It was then when I realised, "Everyone loves Eminem, yet hates Chris Brown. They have both done the same thing. Its not even about the music anymore, people just judge based on the scandals within the media". I thought it wasn't fair, or 'right', if I like Eminem and I hate Chris Brown, when they have both done the same thing. So I just said to myself that Chris made a mistake and I just focused on his music, and now I love it.
(This story is also a 2nd part of my response to KoreanDream).

Promoting music piracy?
I buy ALL my albums (Everything on my iPod is full albums) either in physical form or off iTunes. EVEN Chris Brown's. Wow, I thought the Navy were better than promoting music piracy, the very thing that could make artists such as RIHANNA broke and not able to make music anymore.

I don't like Chris as a person anymore but it's not because of the incident. I simply think he's very ungrateful and not at all respectful, but that's just my opinion. He still releases great music, and that's all I'm here for if I don't stan for someone.
As for the whole Eminem-Chris thing, the only reason Chris is hated more for what he did is because Rihanna is famous. Kim isn't. If Kim were a pop star and Rihanna weren't, then the situation would be the opposite. Very sad, but very true.
In short, I don't hate Chris for what he did. I did for a long time but once I realized that he had moved on, and more importantly that Rihanna had, I realized I had no reason not to, either. I mean, it didn't and doesn't involve me and I don't think Rihanna would want her fans to hate him, anyway. Chris has never seemed to apologize genuinely for what he did and I don't think he truly learned his lesson, and he is now very arrogant and disrespectful, so I don't like him as a person like I did 4 years ago, BUT I still like his music and there's no reason for me not to.

YES!! You hit the nail on the head. Could not have said it better myself. I COMPLETELY TOTALLY AGREE.
I said recently in a Chris thread something along the lines of "Rihanna and Chris are both over it. America/Rest of the World" should do the same."

I can't at how much true tea you are spilling tonight, KoreanDream.
That is actually a rather good explanation of the Eminem/Chris thought. It make heaps of sense.
I don't pay attention to his interviews or anything like that, although I have watched the occasional live performance. His music is what I am here for.

It's super annoying how people are still angry at either Chris or Rihanna (or both, for that matter) for the incident STILL, 2 and a 1/2 years later. Rihanna stans still talk about how vile of a person Chris is, Chris stans still talk about how she started it and he retaliated and it led to his career being hurt, and all I can do is think "Why can't we just let it go?" They're both in much, MUCH better places now and they're both seeing success again. I don't see why we can't get on board.

Whenever he accepts awards he seems as if he doesn't care about winning and he seems ungrateful for everything he earns. But like I said, Chris is the kind of artist that I only like for the music. I like most artists for them as a person or other things, too, but Chris is not one of them. I am here for his music only.
Thank you! Do you post often outside of the Loud thread? I don't see you often enough for someone who is one of the smarter Rihanna stans.

Stan or fan, when Brown is involved, I see them as those who are easy to forget, and I take notice of this because I do not.
As for ATRL, Navy was never accepted with open arms here on ATRL until the Loud era. Navy were 'the pits' during Rated R. All stanbases except a small portion of members who was human, were #teamBrown during Rated R. That was a blow to Navy itself. TRUST. Unless you experienced it yourself, fighting back and forth to wipe away the dirts they threw on Rihanna, you will never understand. Honestly, I never expected the Navy that came after Loud to understand. What makes us different here is experience. The best thing you never had.
Before this on ATRL, Navy as a stanbase, were confined in our own threads discussing Rihanna. It's nothing like what you're seeing today. TRUST.
As I said, you can listen to him as you like. That's your rights. I didn't quote anyone when I said that and since you replied and butthurt thinking I was talking about you, I might as well just respond to it.
As for the gifs, nobody ever had a problem with me posting the same gifs, and I have been doing it for 2 ****ing years already. I simply don't care what you think of it.

I swear it seems like this topic gets brought back up every few weeks. And the same is basically said every time.
I don't have a problem with Chris Brown fans. Do I personally like him? No. I think he's a criminal who belongs behind bars and haven't listened to a song of his since February of 2009. However, if people want to like him and his music, who cares. Let them be.
I will however say that "Chrihanna" fans are the ones I cannot tolerate. If you stan for Rihanna, great. If you also like Chris on top of that, awesome. It's when people (and I know it happened recently in here, but I don't remember who) say some **** like they should get back together is what I absolutely find disgusting. What he did to her is never acceptable and a woman should never go back to that, especially when she has millions of people looking up to her. Especially from someone who claims to love Rihanna, I find those kind of comments really offensive.
I also dont think it's fair to say this heathen "made a mistake." A mistake is when you forget to set your alarm, or accidentally backing into a car. No one's fists mistakenly hit someone's face repeatedly. What he did was no mistake, he, 100%, intended to hurt her. If you forgive him for that, fine, but let's not try to downplay the severity of the situation.

People like to hang on to anything that would make their fav seem superior to others. Unfortunately, this is one of the things that people won't let go, simply to use it against other stans. It's a shame really.
Did you see the video of Fox News having a go at Chris and saying how bad it is that The Today Show gave him his own GMA summer concert, and how it is "rewarding bad behaviour"? It angered me so much that people treat the incident as if it happened yesterday. What REALLY mad me mad was that Fox News reporters were interacting with Chris' fans while they were waiting for the concert, and Fox News were showing the fans TMZ pictures of Rihanna's beaten face and asking "Does this picture bother you?" Some of the fans were answering, like you pointed out, that Rihanna started the incident and one of the fans even said "She should have gotten out of the car". I mean, seriously?
I am actually really happy that both Rihanna and Chris have regained normality in their lives, and are once again successful on the charts. (Not that Rihanna really had trouble on the charts in the aftermath, but we got 5 more #1's since then).

I honestly haven't seen enough of his acceptance speeches to notice any ungratefulness, but I am going to take your word for it.
Why thankyou! Yeah, I sometimes post outside of the Loud thread, mostly in The Lounge. The Loud thread is my ATRL home, though, haha. So I do most of my posting in here.
