no bep isn't a threat. Remember some body said they are blacklisted on MTV and something along the lines of if they dont play it on tv it can't be nominated or some mess like that? Just Can't Get Enough is the only Vid of theirs that could be nominated right?

I'm pretty sure they will give Britney and Gaga the same amount of nominations and in the same categories, for obvious reason. or they can nominate Britney in all categories except VOTY if they want to be more fair but still have the "battle"

but really I think Katy perry deserves to be the big winner. in my opinion the best video of the year is Judas by far, but overall Katy has just been unstoppable this year and all the 5 vids from her album are equally amazing

Also would be great to see some rock bands' videos noticed. maybe either of videos by Rise Against? almost a 0 chance of course, but they did get some press coverage this year so who knows.

I swear to God if 'Hold It Against Me' doesn't get as many nominations/is snubbed, then I will be forever pissed at Jive.

Also, I really hope Rihanna gets nominated, but if her Loud videos get more nominations than her Rated R videos then MTV is seriously retarded. Her Rated R videos were the best videos of her career. 'Man Down' is the only video that comes close to the quality of the Rated R videos (besides 'Te Amo'. That was kind of disappointing).

But "Every Teardrop" isn't eligible, since it came out just a few days after June 24th The only video that Coldplay has that would be eligible would be "Christmas Lights," and I don't even know if MTV Networks knows that video even exists...

Dunno about BEP. I think their ban is lifted, right??? I think VH1 was playing their videos now, and I presume other MTV Networks channels (like MTV Hits) did so, too. So I'd presume they're eligible, but from that to them getting a nomination... I have no idea.

Linkin Park probably has a good shot. Their videos are for the most part solid and often receive tech nominations. "Waiting for the End" might have a chance to do well this year.

They do. No more than two videos per artist are allowed.
