Lmao at "not that appealing." Y&I went top ten on iTunes when the album dropped. People obviously love it and those people are the non fans. Releasing You and I is a great way to get people who normally wouldn't be interested in the album interested. It's radio-friendly, samples We Will Rock You, and is a perfect choice.
As for the video, I think her being a mermaid is perfect. You and I is about her lover and the mermaid story is about finding a lover, so w.e.

Most of y'all only care about her charting well, which is why you don't want Y&I to be a single. Has it ever occurred to some of you that she doesn't care if a single "smashes"? She's releasing what she wants to release, and like she said, she's gonna piss all y'all off.
