Someone made a great point, TEOG peaked at #3 and was only there for a week, there's no way Yoü and I would do any better than TEOG. I think she should go with Scheisse. Marry the Night would sound like noise on the radio.
PS someone else said Just Dance to Marry the Night was evolution. Too bad Just Dance is 100x worse than Marry the Night.
This glam rock sound do not works with GaGa, she needs to stick to what she does best dance pop, that's the sound that made the fans fell in love with her, and that's the sound that introduces her to the general public, songs like the edge of glory or you and make more damage than good! they are not bad songs, they are just not single material, and they are boring as ****, just saying! :coffee2:
I can't have you coming for the good Edge of Glory's wig sis.
The video was boring and lame, the song is EPIC.

Marry the Night is safe & single potential. Scheisse should be saved for later.
i mean she has never released a song like that though. the public might love it, who knows.
I don't think so. The public loves Bad Romance, Pokerface and Born This Way, her 3 biggest hits yet. All of them are dance and I don't think people are expecting anything like glam rock from a dance-pop artist like Gaga.
You'll see honey lets see the You and I worlwide picks when it gets released!
i know it wouldnt be very successful worldwide but who knows, maybe they will release a second single along with you and i. we dont know anything official yet, so i think we should just wait until she properly announces it.
Honestly though, You and I is completely single material. (Although I would prefer another song) It is one of the few songs left that I think will be played on radio without much of a problem. It should get spins on HAC and AC pretty easily and I'm sure pop will play it because it actually is pretty catchy and refreshing. I honestly have not heard a single bad response to the song from casual listeners / non-fans. I thinks it'll do just fine.
