But this is going to be such a heated race to even get a nomination this year! There are a lot of strong nominees. It says a lot that RHCP, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Radiohead could (and very well may) get snubbed in the AOTY category.

LOL I only know the mainstream country acts sis. I don't follow the genre much cuz I'm not fond of it but we should all know by now that Grammys nominates albums for AOTY by their cats: Pop, Rap, Country, Rock and R&B. Like 2010: IASF (Contemp. R&B), The Fame (Pop/Dance), Fearless (Country), The E.N.D. (Pop/Rap) and that DMB album (Contemp. Rock) and 2011: TFM (Pop), NYN (Country), Recovery (Rap), Teenage Dream (Pop since there were no huge R&B albums that year I guess...) and The Suburbs (Contemp. Rock) so that's why for 2012 I pick: 21 (Contemp. Pop), 4 (Contemp. R&B), MBDTF or WTT (Rap), Bon Iver or another huge rock album (Contemp. Rock) and whatever huge country album is the biggest success by cutoff time (Country). So yeah...

I agree completely though I'd send judas for dance recording, because it's just more of a dance song. though on the other hand born this way is more respected and maybe it has a better chance to win.

I agree. They will act like "Judas" didn't happen; which will be good because I can see "Born This Way" having more chances there.

LOL I would love that more than anything but we have to realistic sweetie. The way it's going right now Adele's sweeping. Bey will still get her dues too tho n she'll pass up MJ and Aretha n then we're gon come for Alision's wig in 2013.

The Academy does love "events" in music/pop culture, like massive songs that no one can escape (i.e. "My Heart Will Go On") or iconic, viral videos (i.e. "Single Ladies"). But BTW wasn't the "event" it was cracked out to be and didn't get good enough reviews to ensure a nod. I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if she's not nominated for AOTY.

I think GaGa is the most vulnerable in the general field, particularly in AOTY.
