Isn't a concert promo ? Besides it's the summer and the only show i can think of Rihanna promoting is SYTYCd or 106 & Park or something as most talk shows are on repeats and she's been on all the major ones already. I remember when an artist was touring and they were in a particular city they would do all the major radio stations, but it seems they don't do that anymore. I say just ride these two singles out until the re-release and hit it hard again in the fall.

And OMG yes, everyone was waiting on what Rihanna was going to release, it was just so interesting to see how everything was going to fold out. I think Rihanna definitely did the right thing, going against the label's wishes of releasing a "fun, pop album". As Rihanna said herself, doing a light pop record wasn't going to be "true" to how she was feeling, and she managed to explain things so well in Rated R.

It also explains why LOUD was released so soon though, Def Jam just wanted to get that "pop" Rihanna back that they wanted pre-Rated R.

ACtually the R is on the jewel case CD in the top left corner in that little area to the left where the hinge is.

I think CKB actually really helped album sales.
Ballads always sell, and since its been very moderate and steady, its kept sales steady, so if its a slow climber and blows up, so will the sales!

Heard MD on 92.3 now (pop station)...I'm hoping that MD will start getting pop adds. All it needs is pop AI to get those sales...urban listeners just don't buy singles

I'm so over the CKB/MD portion of this era. I'm hoping both of them are done by the end of July (maybe one of them does a little more damage such as CKB continuing or MD crossing over to Pop) Then by early august I want LoudR officially announced. First single of LoudR released in late August.
