She has always been huge in Taiwan (TFM was the best-selling western album ever there, IIRC), so doing promotion sends her into the pop stratosphere of the country. They really embrace her, and I guess it's because she really embraces them. She makes an effort to visit and promote, she is known for her philanthropy in the area and the things she has done for the countries in Asia. She has, effectively, gained their love and respect.
The bridge and the chorus right after the bridge that shouldve been acapella gives me goosebumps.
