People need to understand that Britney is just as responsible for the way things are than anyone. She does have input into her choreography, music, tour, etc. She is very hands on, but there are certain aspects she does not want to deal with. We will probably never see Britney perform "live" on TV anymore.
Neither Britney or her management want a repeat of VMA 07. No one wants a gaffe, a mistake, anything. As far as the interviews go, it's the same thing. There were a lot of people who, during Britney's most vulnerable time, took advantage of her. Yeah people like Carson Daly and others shouldn't have to have their interviews screened and whatnot, but it's a pre-caution and it's how things are now. Everything is a controlled environment.
The only way things will change is if Britney wants it to change. Clearly she's happy with the way things are now. She can do her music, perform, and then go be with her children.

Anyway, IWG video is being blocking in many countries till now and she didn't promote it yet!!!
I understand that everything is controlled now for a good reason, however its a little too much imo. If she can't give a proper sit down interview, have creative control over her music, or even tweet on her own then they should give up this popstar act. I love my Brit Brit and always will and I know how talented she is. The truth is though the general public and even her casual fans have been losing alot of respect for her this era as an artist and performer and that's why her album has been tanking besides the flawless material. I hope she takes atleast a 5 year break to raise her kids and find some PASSION and INSPIRATION because that's all she is missing. But damn can you just imagine how many wigs a tell all autobiography would snatch lol!

And I'd rather IWG stay stedy at 15, than rise to the Top 10 and then continuously fall thereafter! I still maintain they should have held off on the release of the video, but NOO her fans would have gone ******* claiming JIVE dropped the ball.
