I can't wait to see who the surprise will be, they always have a few...with Teenage Dream easily being one of the most "WTF" moments in Grammy history
Bon Iver, Adele, and whatever Allison Krause makes are a lock, everyone else...is seriously up in the air. I can see them skipping over GaGa, after shunning Bad Romance from all the major song categories, nothing would shock me.
Depending on how the BTW era continues, which I'm more than sure it will be amazing because Gaga and her label have a lot under their sleeve and a lot of time left, it may have a chance of winning. 21 and Bon Iver would be winners if it's not Gaga.
My preds:
1. Beyonce "4" (Contempary R&B slot)
2. Adele "21" (Contempary pop slot)
3. Kanye West "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" (Hip-Hop/Rap slot)
4. Shania Twain or Lady Antebellum's new albums (Country slot depending on what time they both make it own which could be too late considering LA's is coming near cutoff time n Shania has no release day in sight n both have lil buzz atm so it depends maybe Taylor will take the country slot but she's in the same boat buzz-wise tho.)
5. Bon Iver "Bon Iver" (Rock slot. Idk much bout him but it sounds like their ******** right now more so than FF n RH so they sound like a lock to me.)
Beyonce is getting a nomination, I can almost place my head on the line for that. I can't say if she's gonna win or not, but I am certain she's gonna be nominated.
We can debate the possibility of a nomination all day, but isn't it at least time to accept that she's not winning. At best, she's the fourth or fifth biggest contender right now—as in, she has no real chance.
