Don't come for the Alejandro intro, it's the best part of the song.

Ok, I didn't want to get involved in Madonna's intros and I was just ready to go to sleep when I came across this blasphemy.
You and no one else here will come for the epic intro of Alejandro. It is flawless and beautiful and the perfect way to start one of her best songs.
Goodnight.

It has a long intro yes, but that's exactly why I love it. It's so theatrical and dramatic.
Gah. It's perfection. I don't know why people still harp on as to why she released it instead of DITD.
I always felt like DITD would have been *****-edited. :X :X
(Although, I was a major supporter of SHICD being a single until I realized how much I loved Alejandro [well after its release]).

The intro to The Edge of Glory is fine.
Scheisse is the problem. Kinda Gov't Hooker too...(although, I love the opera intro part).
She also needs to work on when it's a good time to cut a song. She goes on far too much sometimes. Again though, it is entirely her choice as an artist, but we all know she is capable of making songs with a radio appropriate length with catchy hooks to match.
I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I think her next album will be the best indicator in regards to her future.
|
Yeah, Government Hooker is kind of a problem as well, except for the opera part. I used to hate that part, but it's grown on me.
I agree. I hope her next album is good, and I'm sure it will be. She's very creative.

GURL YES. That part SLAYS. If it was included in the chorus, I would definitely listen to the song more often.

I think that when she comes back with her next album that she's going to be back stronger than she ever has been.
Just a gut feeling. I could be wrong, but I think this album was something she wanted to do while she was big and was able to do practically what she wanted I mean, face it, if she decided to just do whatever the hell she wanted on her 7th album, it'd be performing like other artist's. I'm sure she'll balance the next album out.

It's fine to have your own opinion about the song, lol.
Also, on topic, do you remember the interview or whatever where GaGa says a good pop song has the chorus within the first minute???
Do you know how many of her songs do that?

YES! I feel the same way. I think her next album is going to be amazing, and if it isn't, then I'm going to look back at these posts and feel stupid, but I doubt it wouldn't be good. She knows what she's doing, and whatever mistakes she's made with the Born This Way era, I'm sure she'll learn from them. Hopefully. I didn't think Born This Way was going to be that good because I wasn't feelin' the era at first, but once the album came out, I was instantly slayed.

It's getting dark/late in the afternoon. If it continues the normal trend, it's going to fall from here.

It's probably my 2nd favorite overall on TFM (Bad Romance being 1st of course).

Girl, I feel like we're stan twins (lol).
The instant I heard Born This Way for the first time I was thinking, "Is this it? This has to be it." As the song continued, I was just dancing and I loved it (probably because I had had TFM on repeat almost all the time since it came out and needed something new period). After the song went off, I was a bit underwhelmed. The song was hardly what I expected it to be. Then after I heard the Judas leak, I knew she wouldn't disappoint.
Judas is just .... amazing to me. The emotions I feel when I hear it is ridiculously intense. I feel like my chest is going to explode with tension when the chorus plays.

LOL, yes, I feel like we are.
I really liked Born This Way when I first heard it, but I felt like there was something missing from it. It could have been much better in my opinion, but after more listens, I started getting into it and I loved it, but I still can't get into the video.
Omg, I HATED Judas the first listen. I was so pissed at myself for having expected something so much better, but then after a few more listens, I started loving it, and now it's one of my most played Gaga songs on Itunes.
And the Judas video. Love it.
