Exactly, and that's why I'm all for it.

But I also genuinely like urban songs. Sometimes the very extreme ones are annoying, but I'll take a great urban song over a great pop song. Bubblegum/girly girl music bugs me.

Well, don't think too much of the urban songs you hear today. Most of them are garbage. Go back years (2005 and before, though I think the quality of urban music started to fall off slowly after 2001), and you will find urban music that was awesome.
