There's a lot of artists whose blockbuster albums didn't really save the follow-up from underperforming, just off the top of my head-
Pink - "Mizunderstood" to the flop "Try This"
The Black Eyed Peas - "The E.N.D." to "The Beginning"
Rihanna - "Good Girl Gone Bad" to "Rated R"
Beyonce - "I Am..." to "4" (this is premature but still, incomparable era's)
I wouldn't say BTW is only selling because it's the follow-up from TFM. It's selling because of the music, public interest, loyal fans, promotion and marketing strategies
