Well... I *****d BTW out for like 4 Weeks (24/7). Now I'm back into my Gaga-playlist (TF+TFM+BTW+Remixes). I love the mix of all of her songs...

I really took some time to like Judas.
In the beginning it felt to me like a stupid bad copy of Bad Romance.
But I grew to love its beat, and the tribal breakdown is

Reasons for Americano to be released as a single: - Perfect summer smash
- Perfect trilogy-closer for Paparazzi and Telephone
- Heavier than The Edge of Glory (soft songs are nice, but in MODERATION)
- One of the more radio-friendly songs on the album
- Touches up on gay rights, which you know Gaga is eager to do again and again
- Everyone in South America will eat it up!
- As a track on the single-release, Gaga can release the FULL-MARIACHI version that she spoke of before!

Both songs have this epic feeling, that's what I meant. They are not my favorites, but...

I've listened to Judas over 400 times.
Born This Way is my favorite song by her, so in the weeks before the album, I'd listen to both Born This Way and Judas back to back all the time. They each got about 400 plays, but I got so, so sick of Judas.
Born This Way now at 950 plays, Judas at 425.

I completely agree with you, but I guarantee people will say "Americano? MOAR LIEK ALEJANDRO ALL OVER AGAIN, LOL THEY EVEN RHYME! bitch ran out of ideas!" before they even give the song a chance.

Americano is not radio-friendly at all, IMO. So many people will be turned off by her caterwauling.

OK, so you REALLY don't need to take any more time with Judas.
And yes, Born This Way >>>> Judas.

I don't need to understand anything. TEOG is *perfect* for remixing. It already sounds like a Cher dance song from the mid 90s.
It is completely remixable.

It's great to see this song get some love around here. Way too many people consider it a flop quality-wise. It's amazing.

If you say so. The remixes I've heard sound terrible, and I will probably hate all of them mostly because the song sounds like stadium rock + pure pop. All the remixing I've heard gets in the way.
Edit: I may retract my statement partially. I do enjoy some things about the remixes, but I feel that they change the genre of the song. I see the song so entirely, as I've said, as a stadium-type, fist-pumping song, not a typical dance song ideal for remixing. That said, I have heard some decent remixes, but I don't think they leave any of the original feeling of the song in tact. There are about 60 seconds of the Swanson remix that are great.

She already confirmed that the missing Mariachi-version will be part of the remix-ep... so...

I would be lying if I said I didn't consider this very valid point, but if it was on the radio, they wouldn't have much choice but to listen to it eventually. And once they heard it, if they could stand her "caterwauling" as MrPeanut so elegantly put, I'm sure they'd start bopping along pretty quickly, especially once the thumps started kicking their bass-system's ass.

After Judas I just wouldn't risk another single with an abrasive sound.

You guys also need to take into account songs that you would like to see videos for. Do you really want her to simply put out radio-friendly songs with bland videos, or risky songs that could potentially flop but with interesting videos? Yes, she could still technically release epic videos for safe songs, but I want the videos to relate somewhat to the song and I feel that the riskier songs would have the better videos.
Point: I want to see Americano and Bloody Mary be singles at some point (I'd also like to see HML as a single, but I won't hold my breath.)
