I think I'll have to disagree with you. Gaga often sounds arrogant, but she never comes off as deluded. She even stated in an interview that many people ('kids') disliked Alejandro, but that was her favorite video. She knows what's aware and what the general reception of a video is.

The main problem is not that people are kissing her ass... I think the main problem is that she wants to have as much creative control as possible. But all commercially successful artists need creative restriction at the end of the day.

It really comes down to whether you value her artistic creative vision more, or her success.

Personally I pick her vision. I hate seeing people who claim to be her fans say she needs to be knocked down. I couldn't care less whether the general public likes what she does or not. I want to see her doing what she wants to do.

I have a hunch that she's not happy with TEOG either, thus all the behind-the-scenes drama. And it comes across in the product. The reason this all HAPPENED is because someone told her no.

No, she won't work with Dr. Luke to please you and have a #1 hit, no she won't always make video to please all her fans, no she won't make an album with "commercial" hits, no she won't stop her "gimmicks", as you call them, because you're tired of them.

She's Lady Gaga and she's always done whatever she wants and you may like it or hate it (even myself don't like some of her video/songs/work), but I respect her so much for doing what SHE believes is right. Quit the whinning 24/7. If she falls, well at least she tried to succeed her way.

Oh and btw, people in general will still love her good music and buy her album. You guys try to make it look like her career is about to end just because you don't like a video or song. Please.

It is frustrating when you have a group have creative/passionate people and no one can agree on a final idea. Kahn probably had a fantastic idea, but Gaga probably had another idea which could have been great as well. Kahn didn't want to do her, and she didn't want to him. I respect both of them for standing up for their work. Though it sucks because I believe if they had worked together the video would have been something entirely different. Oh well. I am fine with the video, and I like that it features Clarence in a lot of scene. I would have bet that the Kahn version left him out more, but it might have been important for Gaga to feature him more.

I don't think anyone needs to send Gaga a message or "teach her a lesson" about creative control. That is insulting. That is like telling a parent how to raise their child, and nothing is more annoying than that. Though next time she should maybe come up with a plot when something like this happens

Oh yes. Because people have totally forgotten about the pop icons MJ, Madonna, Britney etc. even though the things they did 'right' were mostly at their early years of their careers. You can't stay number one all the time.

What do those iconic names have alike? They all have huge fanbases and came to the scene on a spectacular way.
