One of the girls I dance with works at a grocery store that has an electronics section. Over lunch yesterday, she was telling me that on BTW's release date, she was working the 6am shift and the electronics section opened at 8am. Many people came in before 8am asking if there were extra copies of the album, since that particular store worked on pre-orders. She didn't know, because that section wasn't open and it's not an area she works in. Later, one of her friends (who works there) said that there were about 7 extra copies left. She snagged one up.
Supposedly, people were angry that the electronics were closed until 8am. They wanted to jam out to it on the way to work I suppose.
The subject was broached because "Bad Kids" was the first song that came on when she turned on her car. I was like "I KNOW THAT SONG."
I kept asking WHY she loved "Government Hooker" and she said it was just so raunchy it was cool. I STILL don't like it and am trying to figure out why. :/
