Call me crazy but I have the same feeling about TEOG as I had with Mariah's WBT... I still remember when it was slowly growing on the radio and my boyfriend was saying "See? It wont be a radio hit in the us... Look at 'it's like that'. It barely entered the top 15." I was like "no way this SCREAMS radio smash. You will see. It will become huge. I so wish my instict will be the same. I think that this song is her WBT and I really hope i am not wrong!

If it's a sixth or seventh single, no one cares about whether it goes N°1 or not. There will sure be the same religious backclash as for Judas... and everyone will be prepared for that.

China is closed to Western media. Social media, that is. There is no FB, Twitter or YouTube. There are Chinese rip-offs of those sites, though, that cater exclusively to the mainland market.

Gaga's big here. I think mainly due to her relevance, how easy it is to say her name and her crazy outfits -"Pokerface" remains her most popular song here-, but Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber :-\ are by far the most popular Western acts here.

I also think that Government Hooker is a single material BUT only if Marry The Night is being released before. It would be a very bold move after a safe extremely successful one (I think that MTN will smash).

I think Government Hooker is terrible.

Probably Scheisse or Marry the Night is more radio friendly. Other than that, not sure.
Hair is actually pretty radio friendly, but it screams Disney-teen audience.

A: The label really loves about nine different songs as singles so I have spoken with them about wanting to put them all out because I want to show the breadth of the record and just keep going with it. I believe the album will reach to many people but I don't think any one particular song is indicative of what the whole album sounds like. You could keep on putting out singles and it would keep changing and being exciting. 'Hair' is really great. To explain why there's saxophone in it - I didn't just use saxophone in that and 'The Edge Of Glory' for the sake of using the saxophone - it's an instrument that means something to me and my childhood."

My point is that there will probably be more than 4 singles to come. And 'Hair' is likely to be one of them.

TEOG will carry the album through Summer. We wont get another single until mid to late August, if not early September, which means You and I will be the 4th single. The label is not stupid. Y&I will be a massive radio hit through October, November and December which will attract different audiences to the album and we will end up with 3 or 4 million from the US alone.

When did it become a thing that Y&I is a single candidate? Gaga announced forever ago when she first performed it that it's not gonna be a single. Now, that might have changed of course but I still wouldn't say it's a likely candidate at all.
