I can't imagine people on pop radio wanting to hear that song. I hate it, and I enjoyed her album for the most part. Who do we think is buying the song mainly? Pop fans? Urban?

I actually have a small feeling that MD might just take over CKB on radio and some pop stations will start spinning it...I think it's more wishful thinking. I mean if not Cheers for the summer then certainly MD. I still think CKB is a great song, but I think it would be more ideal for a fall release. There really isn't a need to rush this era especially for a "rih-release" given all the remaining songs that have single potential. (well that was the case until they did this dual-release...now i say Cheers in August then wrap it up)

Super Bass is pure sugar pop with rapped verses. Pop radio should be eating it up.

I would assume pop fans because urban fans do not have an effect on iTunes. Urban songs tend to do poorly here. I guess "Super Bass" is an anomaly. She doesn't have much pop airplay, yet doing well on iTunes. I don't even think Urban is eating the song up.

Lol are you kidding me? All her newly recruited pop lovers are buying this song thats who this song caters to. Well that plus her devoted fans who've been buying her stuff. Btw I wasnt asking you whether or not you liked the song dont be an asshole. You could still answer the question I did ask though

I don't think he/she was being an asshole...just putting his/her 2 cents in it.
SB isn't my favorite PF song either (DIOE is my favorite...or blazing), but I definitely can see it hitting mainstream/pop radio as it does have that pop rap appeal. I think in the long run it might just be able to get both Urban and Pop on it's side in terms of radio...it may just take a few more weeks I think. It really was a smart single release for the summer

Pressuming everyone else hates the song (when its evident by iTunes that not everyone does) just because he does, is definitely being an asshole. And yeah hopefully youre right its just annoying to see radio stations not rape this song just because Nicki isnt a radio staple when it shouldnt be the artist that affects their decision to play the song it should be the song's popularity...

Interesting. I'm generally decent at seeing the appeal in songs even when I don't like them, but I'm just sort of stumped with this song I guess. Maybe it's because I've come to generally dislike Nicki lately. At any rate, it seems to be doing well. I'm here for Roman's Revenge.

I think you're being a little bit ridiculous. The song is #27 on pop radio with a 700+ bullet, and it's closing in to the Top 10 on Rhythmic and still rising. That's not weak radio support. You can't expect Super Bass to have insane radio support like GaGa or Katy Perry, especially since it's her first "real" breakthrough on the Pop format. I'm not certain Urban will pick it up, but I guarantee it will be her first Top 10 on Pop Songs, probably even Top 5, but it will take time, so I suggest you sit yo ass down.

You crazy? My ass wont be doing any sitting when it involves Super Bass and you should know when it comes to Nicki, gattam right im gonna express my irritation when they arent treating her right. And like I said, radio stations (and like you) dont play her songs just because she isnt a radio staple like Gaga or Katy as opposed to what they should be going by which is the popularity. I sound spoiled because they are playing her a lot but not like the rest of the songs in the top 10

Superbass & Fly are the only Nicki songs I truly love, but that'd because I'm a pop fan. All the pop fans are buying Superbass because it's appropriate as summer quickly approaches. It's going to be huge. Nicki may see her first #1 on pop radio, who knows?

True, it will take a while. However, I will say that I heard it on Power 105.1 so I think it might just get urban support...then again it was on the stations mix hour...so it isn't on their playlist yet, or so I think
