I think the promo this week/ last week with GMA, AI and SNL was not as effective as we would have liked. The influence it had on EOG was definitely less than what i had expected. Needless to say. im sure it helped with the album sales. I just hope she returns to USA for more promo for The Edge Of Glory.
If you think about it, it took TEOG from Top 15 to #2. Remember also, this is the week where singles sales are usually negative due to people completing the album rather than buying the singles. So to get such a boost is fantastic. If this had been any other week, I would be disappointed, but to get to #2 behind a song with 151M AI is brilliant

I kinda agree. Yes, i suppose the over-demand of the album might shadow the single.

Well, I think the fact that the album came out had more of an impact on sales. Let's just think about this step by step. When she was on all of those promo spots, she was promoting more than one song. The multiple songs convince people to buy the album more than the individual song. Now, let's say that all this promo was done the week TEOG was released. Then it would have had more of an impact on its sales because it would have been the only one promoted.
I for one am pleased at the results. I mean, she's in the top 3 when she was in the lower reaches of the top 10 before, and she's not leaving any time soon.

Well.. to be honest.. I think she kinda messed it up. I mean... Any other artist could be lucky to have ONE of these promo spots... And she gets GMA+AI+SNL but didn't really impress. My opinion...
I guess this will be her lowest selling single.
